Jonathan C. Jones (otherwise known as Jono) is the son of the renowned Barbadian jockey/trainer Challenor Jones MBE. Jono Jones began his racing career at the age of fourteen (14) at the Garrison Savannah Racetrack in his native Barbados. In addition to winning important races at home, including five runnings of the Barbados Derby, he was also the leading rider in Martinique in 1994 and again in 1995.
